Wanted: new maintainer
I just received notice from LiveJournal that I am now apparently the maintainer of this community. I'm not sure how this happened, but I would like to find someone else to take over, or dissolve the community. I haven't been active in the LARP group since graduating in 2007.

Adam, Randall, anyone else reading, is anyone in Reign of Ash actually interested in having this community active again?

Muddy Waters Debates
I'm posting this in hopes that people will actually join in. Not everyone's on this list yet, but Renee suggested that I post this anyway because maybe more people would do so once I had.

-On Tuesday April 10'th the Muddy Waters Cafe closes at 10:00 PM as usual, except that most of the closing work does not get doen, the floors are swept, the bathroom is cleaned and the patrons are asked to leave, but the espresso machine still hisses away and the lights stay on.

At 10:15PM a couple of large white men in almost comically stylized form fitting black leather stand at the entrances with as a sign is posted on the door labled "Private Party". Standing beside them is a perky young woman asking the names of anyone approaching the entrance and checking them against her clipboard with a pencil that has obviously been chewed and well loved. If the name is not on the clipboard then she sends someone inside and Ishmael comes to the door, asks the individual a few questions and either lets them in or informs them that this is a private party and that they should leave. Though he most definately allows any resident in that he knows is a vampire.

Once inside, it is evident that there are a number of people milling about the cafe itself, some of which might seem unfamiliar, some of which might not. There is a bit of an air of anticipation, but not much of one, as this particular cafe doesn't really seem like the kind of place one can feel angst in, and the barrista will gladly serve anyone that wishes to partake of beer or coffee.

After a little while Ishmael takes a seat on one of the couches on the raised platform in the back left corner of the first room, and it becomes apparent rather quickly that things are about to proceed, as the general buzz of conversation peters out.

"First off I wanted to thank everyone for coming. As most that know me are well aware public speaking is most definately not my forte, but I'll see what I can do.

I must apologize for any formalities at the door, but I could not in good conscience put together a large group of vampires for a discussion of this nature without first looking after their security.

Please feel free to partake of any refreshments free of charge, the tab will be picked up by myself and my associates.

The idea here was to keep things as informal and comfortable as possible in hopes of making people understand that they are more than free to speak their minds here in regards to not only the recent change in power, but in regards to the upcoming changes intended for the structure of that power within the Cities of the Three Saints as well.

At our last elysium we began a discussion regarding a proposed constitutional government revolving around a three part system of leadership. To create a checks and balance system in hopes that we might be able to avoid the corruption that is made possible by the ideas of the First Estate, and also that, and to seperate these three leaders into seperate but equal functions.

Not a representative democracy, as that is foolish in micronationalist terms for there are not enough people to need representation in that regard. But a system of three officers.

We'll use the term Saint, as that was what was proposed and it fits within the definition of this place. Saint of Security, Saint of Spirituality, and Saint of Domain.

If one of those that were present at our previous conversation could explain what we had in mind for these positions I would be most appreciative, as this should not be a lecture, and it might help others to chime in"

[OOC] Welcome!
After a bit of discussion with Adam and Mike today, I have decided to make a livejournal community for our domain. This was sparked by the need for more discussion (IC and OOC) about the Vampire venue's change of government. Pretty much anything you could do on the email lists, you can easily do on here, but without necessarily flooding everyone's inbox.

Please post [IC] at the beginning of any posts which are somehow meant to be in-character, and describe where/how such a discussion is taking place as well as which venue you are in. Otherwise please restrict everything to out of character comments.

You do not have to be a member of this community to post to it, but you probably should be. I might change those restrictions later.
